Four different chairs can feel like a set if painted the same color, and stenciled with the same designs. Use the same stencil to ring the edge of the table with a border design, and viola! You have a matching set of chairs and table (even if you got each piece at a separate garage sale). This can also be done with rubber stamp art. Painting the furniture all the same color and then using ink or paint in a contrasting color to stamp the same design on each piece of furniture will unify the decor theme.
Using the same fabric to cover or upholster the chairs, and then using that fabric as a border on the table cloth and runners for the china cabinet will create a consistent theme as well. The eye will be drawn to the commonality of the color and texture, rather than the difference in the shape of each chair.
